Happy Halloween!

Two spooky things for Halloween:

This first spooky item is a poem that my old scoutmaster, Vince Saunders, used to recite on long camping trips high up in the Rocky Mountains. Click on the picture and give it a listen.

The second item is a little frightening as well. Sexy Singer Eum Jeong Hwa is surrounded by a group of scantily clad males. However, none of them are touching her… But they sure seem to be touching each other…Particularly the guy in the bottom right hand corner of the picture. Kul Wahad!!!

More Fun than a Human Being Should be Allowed by Law to Have

This picture is relevant and funny to possibly only one or two people in the universe, so I will not comment on it or get into any more detail than to say that “fondue night” was a night to remember.

Fondue is fun to do

It is Official. My time with the buffoons and bumbling monkeys at Blog-City is at an end. I hereby declare them non compus mentis. I suppose it will take a while to get things worked out between my blog-city and Typepad accounts. Please stay tuned as I make the transition in these difficult times.

Catch up

Catch Up

Let me begin by saying how wonderful completely unacceptable blog-city is. If they are down for anywhere near a week ever again, then it will be time to abandon ship. With that out of the way, let’s catch up on a few things.

First…Thanks to the Big Ho for his creation of the blog title image that is in the top corners of my blog.

Renewed Blog: It looks like Northeast-Asian is back up and running. She has reposted her old entries, including the particularly ghastly take on Lee Seung-Yeon’s comfort girl photo shoot. (FYI.. the comfort women who filed the application for an injunction order against release of the materials withdrew their application just prior to the hearing because they were satisfied that everything had been destroyed.)

Refugee blog: Hunjangûi karûch’im has moved to a new address

Infosite: Work & Play provides some general information about things to do and see in Seoul. There are also job-related classified, posts about Korea, and other goodies.

I have made some cosmetic changes to my blog, updated some links, added some links, etc. I figured that I should do it while I was in the forced downtime brought about by Blog-city’s idiocy.

There are some interesting things on the horizon for me personally in relation to my blog. Keep your eyes on Seoul Scene, Work & Play, and the Korea Herald.

Speaking of Seoul Scene, congratulations to Webmistress Jane Cooper on her television acting debut last Saturday night as the girl talking by the elevator in the Korean Drama that takes place in Bali…well TOOK place in Bali…Everyone was shot to death in a murder/suicide rampage in the final episode that aired the next night.

Brief Observations

Brief Observations

I have noticed that the nature of my writing has changed over the past 3 1/2 months that I have been maintaining this site.

My original intent was to write about what was of interest to me and to provide me with a cathartic outlet for some things that were in my head.  However, I have noticed that the vast majority of my writing is motivated by what I think others will want to read.

I have also noticed that If I am not one of the first Korean blogs to report or comment on something, even though it is something that is important to me or strikes a nerve/chord, I will pass on writing  something about it.

I noticed this particularly strongly during the past few days of the Lee Seung-yeon idiocy.  My work schedule doesn’t permit me to do much writing until the late evening or wee hours of the morning, long after the topics of the day have been hashed to pieces by other commentators on things Korean.

I’m going back to my roots.  I’m going back to writing for myself and what interests me.  If no one else cares or if a topic has been beaten to death several times over, I am going to write about it anyway.  I’ll be Reporter Guy, Bitter Angry Guy, Commentator Guy, Funny Guy, or whichever of the various other muses are eating away at me on a particular day.

On another note, as a Nintendo Game Cube and several games have come into my possession, I am going to have to find a way to deal with the blisters and calluses that are forming and making typing uncomfortable.

Now that all of the above has been said, my brother, who is teaching English here in Pusan, alerted me to a van he saw yesterday with the words “Elohim’s Nursery School Bus” on the side.  I asked him where he saw it.  The reply was, “In front of Elohim’s Nursery School.”  I am now trying to get a picture of the van and or the school to see what sort of rig God Almighty cruises around town in and where  he gives lessons.
