I'll make this thread one comment longer by saying that I hate The F'ing Eagles, but it's better than being told I look like Michael Bolton or Kenny G.

P.S. Hardyandtiny, looking up I saw a 1000 won bill you signed for Debut bar the other night. Nothing but good times there.

Disastrously unsuccessful road trips are the best ones. My favorite was the food-poisoning trip from San Angelo to New Braunfels. Good times.

Eh... No one reads this blog anymore... And even if they do, they generally don't comment unless I am ranting about something.

I can't believe this post has generated so few comments. I expected to come back a week later and see at least 20 comments.

Lots of pictures, great story.....hmmm?

Yeesh. As we have now seen two weeks of rain here in Tokyo, I can sympathize. Still, any bike trip where you stay out of the hospital can't be all bad.

Hardyandtiny,

I suppose you are correct. I have called off trips before when it appeared that the Fates were against it. Without getting too deeply into a discussion about metaphisical issues, it seems to me that when seemingly simple plans are constantly being affected by schedule changes, last minute emergencies, obtstacles along the way, and other disturbances, there comes a time when you just have to say, "This trip was not meant to be. Let's not tempt fate. There will be other days."

Best that you got the flat - your luck was running out. Your brother looks like a young Joe Walsh on that train platform. Great story

Agree with Kevin - although you guys may not have had the best time, it made for a great post.

I haven't talked to my younger brother in years, but that's another story.

J,

Perhaps a sucky outing for you, but a great read for the rest of us.

Let me add that I envy the fact that you can have adventures like this, together with your brother, in Korea.

I love my two little brothers to death and often wish we could all be living near each other, hanging out and doing some damage (probably not with motorcycles, though).

Adam-- bon courage et bonne continuation, mec!
