[...] I understand that this sounds very patriotic to many Koreans and stirs something deep within their souls, but from a westerner’s point of view, reading the quote on BBC, it sounds beyond ridiculous. Once again, just like knife in the stomach guy, the people that are concerned about Korea’s image are the very people that make Korea look and sound foolish to the rest of the world. On a positive sad note, he didn’t get out of it unscathed. GI Korea has a picture of a guy who takes the whole Dokdo thing way too personally (warning, not for kids). If that is not good enough for you, Jeff at RIK has a bigger picture. Idiot (Yeah, I'm talking...

Ziggy Freud writes:

"Look on the bright side. At least he still has all 10 fingers."

This had me rolling.

I guess that means he'll be eating through straws for awhile. I'll probably send him a "Team America: World Police" DVD just to make him feel better.

Bizarre beyond words.

Look on the bright side. At least he still has all 10 fingers.

And this is the image the rest of the world will see and use to form their judgments about Korea and Koreans. How long until Leno or Letterman pick up on this topic?

Korea = Land Where He Who Protests the Loudest or Most Violently Wins All Arguments Whether or Not His Arguments Have Merit

Calm and rational argument be damned.

Can't you just feel the 'Han'?!

"ONLY people that can understand him, sympathize with him, and take him seriously are Koreans, and THEY already agree with him"

Well...I don't. He is just another white-washed twisted patriotistic sick man to me. Althought Korean knows what he demands, still most Korean do not give credit on his stupid action, I think.

Seems like He is more likely influenced by Japanese culture, stabs himself with a kinfe, cutting a fingure,...irony isn't it? Demanding Japanese action with Japanse culture. The culture might not even exist in todays Japan, you could only see in movies and TV drama.
