I too, first learned about him from the documentary 'Genghis Blues' which I saw at the 2nd PIFF thingy. What a story! Later, I realized that I had one of his songs on one of my 'World Music' CDs and it had been a long-time favorite... Too bad he never really was able to get more well-known... he was quite a musician and an interesting and unique person. Wow! I don't know what it is, but it seems that first I have to learn my way through jazz in order to get the deep smoky rythms of blues musicians.
