Ready or not, here I come!

Feast your eyes upon the $65 fishing package! After a nearly 16-year absence, Saturday will mark my return to the world of fishing. As I am notorious for starting things and giving up on them fairly quickly, I decided to start small and, if I stick with it, move up from there.

Jeff,

Did the tackle store point you in the right direction as far as places to go? Sorry if I wasn’t very helpful the other day…if you’re ever in my neck of the woods, look me up and we’ll go after some of those nefarious (my big word of the day)bass.

Good luck out there Saturday!

heh. Yeah. He said not to go to the man-made fishing holes. He said that they are expensive, boring, and burdensome. He said to pack a lunch, take some music, and go cast off the end of one of the breakwaters near my home and see what bites.

LOL…he’s right, except I thought your primary objective was to get your sone to catch some fish, which isn’t guaranteed when you’re heading out on your own into unknown spots. Not that the pay lakes are guaranteed - but he may have a better chance of landing a lunker, hehe.
I’ve fished the pay lakes for trout (because that’s the only way I can catch them close to home) but that’s about it.
Don’t catch any whales, I think Greenpeace is still in town.
