This Pakistani guy may very well be a sexual predator. But, A) why call him a sociopath? That doesn’t real fit properly and B) why call him a general term like a “foreigner” instead of just calling him a Pakistani.

Coming from one of the most multicultural countries in the world, it really astounds me that some people feel the need to label everyone that is different from themselves. Actually, it’s quite sad and goes a long way show the social reform that is needed in countries that don’t understand the rest of the world, such as Korea.

A sociopath is one who is affected with a personality disorder marked by antisocial behavior. I would consider rape and intimidation pretty anti-social behavior. So, if Mr. T did this, then I would consider him a sociopath.

As for him being labed a foreigner, you really astound me when you say, “it really astounds me that some people feel the need to label everyone that is different from themselves.” In this regard, he is not different from me. We are both foreigners. Foreigner is an entirely accurate description of someone from a country outside of Korea.

Also, I don’t just hate Pakistani sociopaths. I hate all foreign sociopaths, so why should I limit myself? The headline would be same whether he was Pakistani, German, Mexican, American, Canadian, or whatever.

Sociopathy is a psychosis, that is, a severe mental disease, characterized by the firmly held belief that yourself is the only human alive and other humans are objects much the same as a chair or the monitor in front of me.

Being a selfish asshole or an unethical sexual predator is not the same thing….

Right Jeff! She was sexually assaulted. Why was she with him in a place where sex was possible? If they would have been waliking in a park or at a movie theater on their dats, no sex right? It is never the girl’s fault here, just the foreigner. I bet you if a foreigner who is married to a Korean has sex with his wife, its considered Rape too. And now, because we have sex with a Korean woman, we’re sociopaths. Get a dictionary dude!

The truth is that this guy banged her and took a video and she found out and claimed he raped her. I love how they added that she wanted to learn english. Like if you learn english you will somehow be raped 50 times.

Was she raped the first time. Then show the video. Come on, jeff THINK. Jeff just wasnt to show bad foreigner with bad korean. Jeff if you eat steak do you have to eat shit with it to make it fair?

Anjinsan, I have no idea where you got that definition of a sociopath, but it is completely wrong.

The DSM-IV-TR defines anti-social disorder (sociopathology) as:

Diagnostic criteria for 301.7 Antisocial Personality Disorder
(cautionary statement)
A. There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

(1) failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
(2) deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
(3) impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
(4) irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
(5) reckless disregard for safety of self or others
(6) consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations
(7) lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

B. The individual is at least age 18 years.

C. There is evidence of Conduct Disorder with onset before age 15 years.

D. The occurrence of antisocial behavior is not exclusively during the course of Schizophrenia or a Manic Episode.

If guilty of what he is charged with, then repeated rapes and threats would fall under A.1.

Intimidation and threats would fall under A.2

sexual assault would be considered aggressive behavior and fall under A.3

His behavior also falls under B,C, and D.

If he is guilty, then he is a textbook sociopath.

Also, sociopathology is manifested in persistent criminality, sexual promiscuity or aggressive sexual behaviour, and drug use.

Mark, what are you talking about? Where is having consensual sex equated with rape? Where is having consensual sex equated with being a sociopath?

To everyone else who has little or no reading comprehension skills, I never said he did anything wrong. I REPEATEDLY said that he is ALLEGED to have done wrong. If he actually did it, then he is a sociopath and he sucks. If he didn’t do it and she’s lying, then she can have the place that he would have occupied in hell if he had done it.

Can’t we all get along in this world without having to insult one another? Can’t we act like mature adults instead of slinging insults at each other and fighting offline? Bottomline is if we all settle our disputes and disagreements through diplomacy, this world would be a less violent, less prejudice and much more peaceful.

N/A - I don’t know which countries you’ve lived in, but you haven’t lived in Korea - where it’s ok to kill policemen and old folks or send them to the hospital seriously injured, destroy buildings and vehicles that just happen to be passing by, all to show they want “peace.” If I follow the story about Mr. T correctly, he and his girl had sex for about 2 1/2 years before he started blackmailing her - and she traded her sex for his not releasing the tape and embarrassing her - far better than anything a Korean male would have offered. I see them regularly beating down their girlfriends in alleys, and on main streets through the local dongs. Police watch in amusement, and other adults pass by and look the other way. Not to say it’s right, but the girl made a decision to go with a foreigner in the first place, and over here, that’s not done lightly at all. To any Korean she was already a slut/whore - but they will sure use any perceived wrong for its prooganda value, no matter how slight.

Hey all, i am not the smartest guy in the world, as a matter of a fact i am the last person that shoud be talking in this disscusion. I would just like to say that i asked my psycology teacher at Niagara College about this disscusiona dn he himself visisted the site. My teacher and I both agree with the individual ( i think jeff) who thinks that this guy was a sociopath. He is , because he treated this girl like an object or a possesion, he also thretend and intimidated this girl with the tape, and he also used this girl for his own pleasure, he cared not that she was un-happy and was scared. I would also like to say that Foreigner is the correct word, it would not be my first choice but it is valid. Sorry if i offended anone, i am just a 2nd year college student doing a report on sociopaths
