Jeff,

Did Kerry's camp ever accuse Edwards of fathering illegitimate children and of being the "fag candidate"? Because that's what the Bush team did to McCain in South Carolina.

So I stand by what I said... Bush's tactics against McCain in 2000 crossed the line, and McCain only demeans himself even more by now standing by that guy.

Brian,

The same could be said for Kerry's running mate. Given the things Edwards said about Kerry during the primaries, Edwards should be campaigning for Bush and not running with Kerry against Bush and the guy with the lesbian daughter.

CTDeLude,

Come visit my blog where I have a whole mob of wingnuts leaving snide comments and no contact information.

Jeff, I wish Kerry would stop mentioning McCain as well. Despite his heroic background, he's turned into a chump for the Republican party... calling Bush out on his BS one day but then campaigning for him the next. IF he had any integrity he'd be campaigning for Kerry right now.

Scott S - "...why is it that here I only read good things about Bush?"
The American media is heavily biased to The Left. As in 92% biased against Bush. And just to make you happy, yes, there is a poll
(^_^)
Some papers (like USA Today, I believe) reported on it heavily a few months back. So while there is no 'conspiracy' to not report good news on Bush - there is a horribly strong correlation between being an American reporter and being anti-Bush.

Jeff - Bush did seem to have improved a bit compared to his previous speeches, but that's not saying much (unfortunately). He seemed to have been really trying during his closing comments, and (for him) made progress on being a dynamic speaker.

>"... Kennedy is the Conservative senator from Mass."
>D'oh Bush shouldn't have laughed after that line. It was forced and
>he laughed alone.
The home audience laughed along with that one. Well...more precisely we paused, then yelled, "BURN!"

"Kerry comes out in open defiance of the Catholic Church. That must take guts."
It takes almost zero guts right now. Aside from white people, Catholicsm ranks high on the "OK To Offend" list. Folks are very forgiving of others ripping on Catholics right now, even Jay Leno makes some serious jabs that are not taken offensively. Because being anti-Cathlocism isn't taken as anti-Catholic-dogma right now. And typical for a Kerry remark, people will understand what they want to hear - not what the liar actually said.

I didn't watch the debate, so it seems strange that everywhere I look, the media is saying Kerry took the debate and the polls are way up for him. I come here, and the impression is that Bush whacked him. I know this is a personal blog, but why is it that here I only read good things about Bush?

You notice all the people with snide comments (and usually of the Left) never put any kind of contact information out there?

I found it...curiously funny.

i thought Bush did well this round; much better than I'd feared after Round One and Round Two.
On this one, it's my monarchal opinion that Bush walked away with it.
