St. Patrick’s Weekend at O’Brien’s Pub in Pusan, Korea

A few pictures of me playing as part of the St. Patrick’s Day weekend events at O’Brien’s Irish Pub here in Pusan, South Korea.

Wow. I just noticed you are playing by yourself. That takes skill, and guts. I only do that in front of close friends and relatives.

I play guitar and sing in local gigs in front of the local public every now and again myself, but only with three or four other guys behind me.

Is that a banjo you have sitting next to the cooler? Do you play that too? Buy it locally?

The banjo belonged to another guy that played before me. He was part of the main attraction. I was at the tail end of the performances, the evening, and the alcohol.

One way to make sure you are completely ignored is to play to a group of people at 2:00 am on St. Patrick’s Day at an Irish pub.

As you can see, those that were still on their feet were not really focused on much of anything, and those that were not still on their feet were sleeping in various sitting/laying/falling positions.

How the young lady pictured above managed to sleep that close to a mic-ed up resonator is completely beyond me.
